Pelvic Pain/Sexual dysfunction

Persistent pelvic pain refers to pain in the pelvic region that has been present for 6 or more months. It can be associated with a number of different conditions. These are the conditions that pelvic floor physiotherapy can help with:

*Vaginismus or pain during penetrative sex or tampon/menstrual cup insertion

*Endometriosis/Adenomyosis, PCOS

*Interstitial Cystitis/Bladder Pain Syndrome

*Chronic prostatitis/Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome

Because persistent pain is complex, we know that the best approach involves a multidisciplinary team. Your team may be made up of your GP, gynaecologist or urologist, psychologist and your pelvic floor physiotherapist.

If you suffer from pelvic pain and are unsure where and to start with your treatment, get in touch with your GP or us and we can discuss your options.
